Lion’s Inferno Hot Sauce
The original flame of Tupops Collection.
Lion’s Inferno was made for people who love serious heat but still want to taste what they are eating. For an experienced hot sauce lover, we would rate it around a 7 out of 10. It has a strong, lasting burn, but the flavour never gets buried underneath it.
We make it with four peppers, starting with habaneros, followed by ghost peppers, Scotch bonnets and Carolina Reapers. The peppers are fermented for several months with pineapple, carrots, peaches, onions, tomato and honey, giving the sauce a deep, developed flavour before it is blended and cooked.
We then add fresh carrots, onions and garlic, along with roasted pineapple, peaches, habaneros and ghost peppers. That combination brings sweetness, freshness and a smoky finish that keeps changing as the heat builds.
This is a pepper-forward sauce, not a vinegar-heavy one. We also do not use xanthan gum or artificial thickeners, so natural separation can happen. Give the bottle a good shake before using it.
Lion’s Inferno is hard to describe in just a few words. It is hot, smoky, slightly sweet and packed with flavour from the first bite to the last.
